When we created this video for the 2010 Detroit Auto Show reveal of the highly anticipated Cadillac performance coupe we had a great time shooting the drifting & burnouts with a thousand-frame-per-second video camera and selecting all the red-blooded imagery that opens the piece. But we had no idea it would resonate with press, consumers and the brand itself to such a degree.
Jalopnik used the most colorful language in this post (warning: NSFW language) and described it like this:
If Roland Emmerich, Michael Bay and Jeremy Clarkson were somehow spliced together and pumped full of all the meth in the world, this PR launch video from the CTS-V Coupe unveil would be the result.
The video is still one of the most-watched Cadillac videos on the Internet and continues to be displayed by Cadillac as a centerpiece at Autoshows around the world. Have a look and see how bad ass a coupe can be in our creative hands.
